Two people were killed and six injured early Sunday morning when gunfire broke out near Rutgers University in New Jersey.
The victims have not been identified, but officials said Sunday that the two fatalities were both male.
New Brunswick police responded to calls just before 1:30 a.m. Sunday and found eight people with apparent gunshot wounds inside a house just blocks from the Rutgers campus.

All eight were transported to various local hospitals.
The conditions of the other six is unclear and the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office did not immediately return a request for comment.
Officials said there is “no affiliation” with Rutgers University or its students, but an investigation is still underway.
