Letter to the editor: A different view of Trump's actions

Tribune-Review

I found on the Sept. 14 Opinion page some very balanced commentary concerning the tragedy of the Charlie Kirk shooting. Here is hoping the current administration begins to use a bit more tact in its comments, assessment and mandates that are proposed.

Another opinion that stands out is the letter “Speak out about Trump’s actions before it’s too late” (Aug. 23, TribLive). The writer can’t be the only person who recognizes President Trump’s impression of Hitler.

Then comes the letter ”Democrats’ desperation” (Aug. 26, TribLive). To the writer: No one is above the law! Do you recall that 14 boxes of documents containing classified information were found after the National Archives retrieved a total of 15 boxes from Trump’s residence in January 2022?

For the writer of the letter “Trump and Hitler? No comparison.” (Sept. 12, TribLive): I disagree with you entirely. I think Trump is on his way to graduating magna cum laude from the Hitler School of Lies and Deceit.

Lastly, the writer of the letter “Kirk’s death should not be celebrated” (Sept.13, TribLive) states, “If you are calling for the harming or murder of your fellow Americans because of their beliefs, their support of our president, or supporters of MAGA, our flag and/or our nation … you have fallen into the rabbit hole and sinking fast.” I think her vision is myopic, considering what this administration has orchestrated. My belief is that killing is wrong at all levels. Let us denounce every mass killing, individual murder and threat of hurt to be unacceptable. starting at the top.
