Letter to the editor: A liar is a liar, no matter how many lies

President Trump has called the Democrats’ health care plan a “socialist nightmare.” Like most greedy, self-serving conservatives, he doesn’t seem to be able to handle the concepts of Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare given to us by progressive thinkers. If he gets reelected, we can probably kiss those programs goodbye.

Regarding Charles Molnar’s letter “Seeking proof of Trump’s lie count” (Sept. 24, TribLIVE): Trump has lied publicly to the American people more than 20,000 times. But if he had only lied a few times without apologies, he’d still be a liar. I don’t like lies — especially when they come from “my president.” Nor do I respect such deception.

I recall past language when he actually told the truth for once, about prescription drugs costing less in Canada than the U.S. Apparently socialized medicine is working pretty well up there. It’s working in Cuba, too, where their doctors routinely travel to other countries to heal the sick.
