Regarding Ed Liberatore’s letter “Comparing presidents’ honor of fallen soldiers” (Sept. 15, TribLIVE): From the Huffington Post dated Sept. 2, 2020: “According to a review of Air Force records, there had been 96 ‘dignified transfers’ at Dover AFB since the start of Trump’s presidency, which saw the return of 127 Americans killed abroad. Trump has been there for 4 of these, which brought home the bodies of 9 soldiers.” The last of these was on Feb. 11, 2020, with an election coming up.

Maybe President Biden did look at his watch too much, and maybe the exit from Afghanistan could have been better planned, but least Biden showed up. And he didn’t call the deceased soldiers “losers” or declare that they should have “known what they were getting into.”

As to Americans making a mistake by voting for Biden, anyone would have been better than the worst president in history, Donald J. Trump. In my opinion, he continues to prove his complete lack of character and competency every time he opens his mouth. It amuses me when people criticize Biden for fumbling or searching for words. Trump is a thousand times worse with his word salads and whining.
