Letter to the editor: A wolf out to destroy democracy

My mailbox is flooded every day with untruths about who is taking away our benefits. This “misinformation” should be illegal. I think mailings about border issues are false, too, and never mention who killed the bipartisan bill.

We have laws against trespassing, assault and battery, and homicide. Why is the violence of Jan. 6 whitewashed and overlooked by a party that proclaims it’s for law and order?

We are the defenders of democracy, yet Vladimir Putin, who invaded Ukraine, is never criticized by one party. Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny was hoped to be a future president of a free and democratic Russia, but he was allegedly murdered on Putin’s orders, as were other opposition figures.

Thomas Jefferson warned of a wolf in the future that would destroy our democracy.
