Election Day is racing at us with what seems like breakneck speed. To me, it seems the big issues the candidates will be clashing about are abortion, inflation and millions of immigrants living off the American taxpayer. How many of them are here to do harm to our country?

Of these topics, it is my opinion that, when examined closely by any rational person, abortion would not be an issue. My reasoning is:

Human life begins in the twinkling of an eye when only one out of millions of sperm from a man fertilizes a woman’s egg to form an embryo, which results in the conception of a human. At the instant of fertilization, the baby’s genes, gender and DNA are set, making this creation the only person ever created with that DNA sequence, distinct from all other humans who have ever been created. This creation is so unique that it will have its own set of fingerprints, toeprints, iris pattern, voice print, tongue size and shape, dental features and brain anatomy. Once creation has taken place, the baby will rely solely on the loving care of its mother’s body for protection and nourishment until it is mature enough to take its first breath, be birthed.

Psalm 8 asks, “What is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them. You have made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor.”
