During the past year I have come to admire Robert Levin for his obvious positive character traits. Chief among them seem to be compassion, fair-mindedness, honesty, loyalty, generosity and benevolence (“Robert Levin makes 2nd bid to revive family furniture business,” May 19, TribLIVE).

I have made a few purchases at Levin Furniture in the past. I am certain to make every effort to shop Levin first in the future should his plan to reopen his stores come to pass. His compassion for his former employees and for those customers left holding the bag after paying another company for undelivered products make me wish he were a member of the Pennsylvania Legislature, as I see very little of the aforementioned qualities in that collective body.
