Letter to the editor: AG Henry puts Pennsylvanians first

Tribune-Review

There are numerous issues to consider as we parents help our children navigate the world. When we have proactive leaders in our state who focus on serving the people versus elevating their individual agendas, that also helps. This is why I’m glad Michelle Henry is our state’s attorney general. Henry seems different. She demonstrates a commitment to making real change within our communities.

While Henry is in this seat for two years, she is making the most of her tenure. She’s tapped into our communities and cares about her constituents’ perspectives on the most pressing challenges. Last month, she sat down with Philadelphia students to brainstorm solutions to stop the rampant gun violence problem. Students voiced their concerns, sharing their personal experiences with Henry, who found the sessions valuable and plans to continue them in other parts of the state. These pursuits give a lot of hope to parents like me, as we need leaders to incorporate the opinion of our state’s future generation, helping to lay a path forward for Pennsylvania.

I’m grateful for her work thus far and look forward to her future successes. She is focused on the needs of Pennsylvanians and not headline-grabbing games such as politicized lawsuits against the tech sector. These kinds of pursuits only serve as a distraction.

I’m optimistic Henry will usher in a better future for our state. Her track record and early accomplishments prove there’s no one better suited for the job.
