My response to legalized abortion:

First, I hold to a conservative biblical teaching on abortion with both personal and Christian conviction. All lives matter.

Second, born with a physical disability (congenital defect on my left hand), I learned the true worth and value of human life through loving and caring parents who treated all their children with equal care, including my sister, who had mental challenges. Jesus, my lord and savior, healed the sick, dying, lame and blind, giving hope to the hopeless and homeless.

Third, choose adoption, not abortion. There are good, loving, caring homes. I thank God for our adopted daughter and for all children, foster and adopted.

The Rev. Charles Whipple
