Regarding the article “Innamorato defends proposed budget and Allegheny County tax increase” (Nov. 13, TribLive): I am not happy with the reasoning of Allegheny County Executive Sara Innamorato and county Manager John Fournier, who said if the tax hike isn’t passed, consequences could include closing all county pools, eliminating after-school programs, and layoffs of police and municipal and health care workers.

They love to threaten the needs of citizens. And about the $100 million Innamorato proposes for economic improvement with no details on how this money would be spent? Let’s see if they follow suit with millions spent on consultant fees.

We are counting on Allegheny County Council to protect us.
