In his column “Trump’s Goodwill Bank is empty” (March 20, TribLive), Joseph Sabino Mistick, acting like a sufferer of TDS, claims President Trump has nothing left in his goodwill account and European leaders are aware it’s a one-way street and they can no longer count on the U.S. the way they used to. The way we “used to” was an egregious abuse of our “goodwill” account and was not good for America because we shouldered the majority of the burden with our tax dollars.

Trump is correct in requesting help in the Strait of Hormuz. Our allies depend on it more than we do. The days of freeloading on the backs of hard-working Americans are over, and rightly so.

Now, if we can just get fraud in government eliminated, the deficit could be dramatically reduced without any additional taxes, and by making sure that only American citizens can vote, we can have a proper representative government.
