Millions of people in the United States have died due to not being able to afford needed medications. The “pill bill” passed last year by Congress does nothing to stop most of these deaths. Oh yes, it helps lower insulin prices, but only for people on government programs, Medicare and Medicaid. What about the millions of others not on government programs? About 7 million people in the U.S. are on insulin. Government can, but refuses, to pass a real pill bill to help the millions on so many other unaffordable medications.
This is a national security issue and needs to be resolved soon, before the next million citizens die. U.S. citizens travel to Canada and Mexico to get the meds they need to live, at cheaper rates. It’s illegal to do so. Wow! What a country this is that lets its citizens die because they can’t afford to live.
Congress and President Biden, put a true pill bill through that helps all citizens. Stop the pill monopoly now.
