It’s not what it is

It’s what I want it to be

No biz like show biz

To nix reality

I’m the Lizard King Kid

Lord of the Flies

I’ll flip my lid

If you refute my lies

It’s a quo pro quid

A Triumph of the Id

There’s gold in the fooled

Shameless grift makes my fame

There’s a war for your soul

I’m on the side of the flames

Yeah, there’s a war for your soul

And I’m winning

Your mind’s gone dark, your cold heart cruel

But you don’t even know now you’re sinning

Sold out to the lowest bid

In a Triumph of the Id

Slaughtered children in the news

They were only something I could use

And twist into the latest craze

For the helter skelter mice

running blind

in my maze

Truth and virtue have hit the skids

It’s the twilight of wisdom and the Triumph of the Id
