If you believe that Donald Trump is a narcissistic blowhard, you will get no argument from me. It’s obvious to me that he has always been willing to twist the truth for purposes of self-aggrandizement. That said, can anyone tell me something that has not gotten worse for the country since he left office?

If you say that we have now gotten control over covid-19, that may be true, but nothing has happened that would not have taken place under a Trump administration. What about inflation? Gas and energy prices are climbing faster than any time in a decade.

Illegal migration on the southern border? Over a million encounters with Border Patrol in six months, and that doesn’t include the drug runners and gang members who don’t get caught. How many have covid-19? No one knows.

Crime completely out of control in our major cities. Shootings, often in broad daylight, often with children as perpetrators as well as victims.

Government spending? No one even seems to comprehend the multiple trillions added to the debt. Sure, you can say Trump did nothing to slow the spending, but remember, the question is, what has not gotten worse?

And finally, China and Russia taking liberties on the international stage the likes of which never happened under the previous administration.

I know that Trump was no paragon of virtue. But can anyone honestly say we are “Build(ing) Back Better”?
