I am so ashamed that this Westmoreland County commissioners race has come to such a fight as to take two worthy candidates all the way to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. I am exercising my right to support my candidates in what used to be a free election.

I joined John Ventre and Paul Kosko last fall to support them both. Team Kosko and Ventre worked diligently for Doug Chew in 2019. Since then, Chew has denounced our friendship. I’m a Methodist pastor in the community, and I am seeking public servants, not those who decided behind closed doors that my party may only support the incumbents. I say, NO!

I subsequently received my registered letter from an attorney “excusing me from my County Committee seat” after seven years. This is bullying in all ways. I have supported Ventre in his bid for governor and now commissioner, and he received zero support from the party. He has executive experience and a winning resume. Kosko is retired from the Municipal Authority of Westmoreland County. He states his knowledge of corruption at MAWC.

I encourage Republican voters to do their research on Ventre/Kosko vs. Chew/Kertes. I will not be a part of a machine that makes decisions for me and you.

Exercise your rights and God bless you.
