Letter to the editor: Battling to save America

Tribune-Review

I realize with the diversity of opinions, philosophies and worldviews in a nation of 330 million people, there will be profound differences. Yet it’s reasonable to say that, when it comes down to the basic essentials, we all want the same things: abundant food, employment, health care, shelter, education, safety and the freedoms, liberties and protections that our constitutional republic has historically provided.

That’s why I’m dumbfounded when I see so many of these blessings being eroded, dismantled and destroyed at an alarming rate while the majority of citizens sit by in silence. Is there some sort of mass psychosis at work? Are the “bread and circuses” so thoroughly effective that most people are content in their blissful ignorance?

Any intelligent, objective, critically thinking person living in America can only conclude that this country has been overthrown in a slow-motion coup. All major institutions are captured. Our constitutional republic no longer exists.

The Department of Justice and FBI are weaponized to attack those who oppose the official agenda. Our health care system is owned by Big Pharma, becoming a vending machine for toxic drugs and dictator of medical tyranny.

Prosecutors and judges refuse to enforce the rule of law. The fourth estate is no longer a watchdog exposing government corruption but an obedient lapdog to its paymasters. Our schools are indoctrination centers, teaching perversions instead of academic fundamentals. And the list of atrocities goes on.

Our battle to save America is as urgent as were Lexington, Concord, Gettysburg and Normandy. The American spirit must persevere or all will be lost.
