Letter to the editor: Be a poll worker to witness election security

Regarding the article “Poll workers perform civic duty despite ramped up rhetoric” (Oct. 19, TribLive): In a TV interview Jon Delano did with Donald Trump on May 21, Trump said there are at least 12 ways to commit fraud. I have worked the voting polls for at least 30 years. I believe there is no way a person can commit voter fraud.

We always ask for ID, and there is a voter registration book with each voter’s name that all voters have to sign the book. If your name is not in the book, the Westmoreland County Courthouse is called to see why. The book also indicates if a voter sent for a mail-in ballot.

For people who are skeptical, be a poll worker at the next election, and you will see the real deal in action along with poll watchers.
