You who display Trump signs might want to be careful what you wish for.

We are in a pandemic, and many are out of work and in fear of losing their homes. Congress and President Trump should be passing a covid-19 relief package, but instead they are intent on jamming through another rubber-stamp Supreme Court judge who may take health care away from more than 20 million people. During a pandemic.

Obamacare isn’t perfect, especially after being sabotaged repeatedly by Republicans, but it’s the best we’ve got. Republicans, who offer no health plan of their own, have taken huge sums from the insurance industry, which doesn’t want to cover preexisting conditions. Yes, that’s what this is about, big money as usual. Roe v. Wade is just collateral damage.

Trump is also pursuing this because, as he said, “We need nine justices” to invalidate millions of what he sees as fraudulent ballots, thus stealing an election he seems to be losing.

Another term with this power-hungry president and we will have a dictatorship, like the ones in other countries he has adulated. He even says he’s in love with Kim Jong, arguably the world’s most brutal dictator.

If you like the policies of the Republican Party, you will have another bite at the apple in four years. But this election is a turning point in the American experiment. If you value our democracy, please vote Joe Biden. Make lying wrong again.
