The League of Women Voters (LWV) was founded as a nonpartisan, grassroots organization in 1920 with the goal of empowering voters and defending democracy. Our goals today have not changed, and the League of Women Voters of Westmoreland County wants voters to be informed and make their choices in the upcoming general election.
We encourage all voters to review the readily available and easy to access information regarding the election. The league has published an online voter guide, VOTE411.org. VOTE411 is a one-stop shop for election-related information that provides nonpartisan information to the public. By entering your address in VOTE411, you can see what is on your ballot and get candidate information.
In the upcoming presidential election, Pennsylvanians are also electing a U.S. senator, attorney general, auditor general, treasurer and several district U.S. representatives, as well as district state senators and state representatives. The LWV has invited the candidates in these specific races to speak directly to voters by uploading their qualifications and answers to question prompts to VOTE411.
Remember to register by Oct. 21!
