Letter to the editor: Better under Biden or Trump?
Are you better off now after three-plus years of the Biden administration?
During the previous administration, there were no new wars, we were winding down our military involvement in Afghanistan in an orderly process, we were energy independent, inflation was averaging 2% annually, there was blossoming peace in the Middle East and the United States was respected around the world.
Now we have a major war in Eastern Europe with the threat of nuclear escalation; war in the Middle East and potential conflict with China over Taiwan; the disastrous retreat in Afghanistan resulting in 13 dead U.S. military personnel with dozens horribly wounded and thousands of American citizens and Afghan allies abandoned, military equipment and weapons systems worth billions of dollars left behind for the enemy to use or sell on the black market; and a newly formed alliance between Russia, China, Iran and North Korea, which will almost certainly result in major world conflict in the future.
I believe all of this is the result of President Biden’s feckless leadership. We have endured massive inflation costing the average American family an additional $11,000 per year to maintain the same standard of living as in the previous administration. Biden’s border policies have resulted in our nation being invaded by over 8 million unvetted illegal immigrants, with millions being military-age men of unknown origins and intentions. Major cities are being overwhelmed by crime, illegal immigrants and deadly drugs.
Regardless of how you feel about Donald Trump personally, I believe the answer is clear.
