Every one of us is constantly receiving requests for money to help our military veterans. The Wounded Warriors, Disabled American Veterans, AMVETS and a host of other organizations are trying to meet the needs of our true veterans who gave so much for our freedoms.

That made me think of the $500 million spent to protect Washington, D.C., in the wake of the Jan. 6 riot, using National Guard troops. Wouldn’t the better use of this money be to give it to those legitimate services that are truly trying to help our many military veterans rather than lock down our nation’s capital like a dictatorship?

But I guess President Biden is still terrified of the 75 million who voted for President Trump and doesn’t want to take any chances.
