The writer of the letter “Biden derelict in his duties” (Jan. 27, TribLive) stated that our president had violated his constitutional oath. He is angry about forgiving student loans and the difficulties all presidents have had with securing borders.

If you were president, what would you do to relieve the crushing debt of our college and graduate school students facing a life of abject poverty to pay back even the interest on their loans? And what would you do about our 7,500 miles of the Canada and Mexico borders with our nation?

Our president is doing the best he can, and he is doing it without needless cruelty or a hatred of anybody. Would the writer prefer a president who has been impeached twice and faces 41 felony indictments which could result in a greater than 20-year prison sentence?
