After reading Matt Smith’s letter “Immigration reform will rebuild our economy” (March 26, TribLIVE), I now know the effects of listening to “Nice Guy” President Biden without proper protection. You see, as soon as I see Biden’s lips move, I immediately set my brain to “Dumb” and his prattle has no effect.

Biden’s Motel 6 immigration policy, “We’ll leave the light on for you,” is starkly unfolding before our lying eyes. Lying, you see, because Biden said, “This is the normal influx of” — dare I say illegal — “immigrant migration that occurs naturally every year, there is no stopping them!”

I took liberties in paraphrasing his actual words, but you see I didn’t have them written down for me in a binder like he had at his recent presser. Or should we call it recital? I did marvel at his adeptness in following the “Sesame Street”-like numbered photo list of reporters to call on. He made it all the way to 10; Count von Count would be proud.

As to Smith’s proclaimed benefits currently provided by DACA and passage of the House Resolution 6 Dreamer legislation in the House, no doubt expanding Pennsylvania’s ascent to global competitiveness via throngs of more “undocumented”: Well, I hearken back to the bridge of the Titanic, this time co-piloted by Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven, their command after initial impact: “Reverse engines full, now halt, full speed ahead, we’ll hit her again” — the iceberg of socialism.
