Many of us as members of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton and Immaculate Conception parishes still are in shock and cannot understand why Father John Moineau was forced to resign as pastor. There are so many “whys,” and we’ve received no answers to any of them. When will we?

It seems to me that the obvious person to resign should be Bishop Larry Kulick. When the employee in question was first hired many years ago, his application was forwarded to the HR department of the Diocese of Greensburg. At that time Kulick was the vicar general of the diocese. Wasn’t the employee in question’s application for employment approved by the vicar general? Father Moineau was not even in this area at that time. So why was he treated like a criminal for mistakenly approving this person to continue working?

In my opinion, this bishop is responsible for destroying two parishes and a school, upsetting the religious lives of the congregations of both parishes, destroying the reputation of a man who has dedicated his life to God in person and via the media, the loss of livelihood of two parish office staffs, attempting to prevent members of the congregations from interacting with Moineau, and causing collections to diminish. Why? What bishop would do this? Why would a bishop do this to his flock?
