In my letter “Biden’s proposed Title IX changes no way to help children” (April 16, TribLIVE), I wrote of the danger of the Biden administration’s proposed rule change to Title IX. Among other harms, I speculated that it would lead to a mixing of boys in girls’ locker rooms. Unfortunately, I was right, and I am surprised at how close to home this danger has appeared.
The current Greater Latrobe School District Student Handbook makes this policy and goes much further. I encourage other Latrobe parents to read it for themselves. There is more than can be said here about this policy, but I wonder how proper it can be when it seems to require that the district mislead parents about their own children?
This is misguided, incoherent and dangerous. Read it for yourselves, carefully.
