Regarding the editorial “Don’t forget broadband after lockdown” (April 19, TribLIVE): You write that “broadband access needs to be viewed as a utility a little different from water, electricity or gas. It needs to be as accessible as sidewalks that connect us to our jobs, schools and banks.”
I guess the paper editions of newspapers aren’t good enough; you have to have them delivered to your computer, where it’s easier for Big Brother (corporations and law enforcement) to figure out what you are reading. How do you think they (corporations) tailor their ads to you? They collect data on your computer use.
Wake up, America — internet use and broadband is another nail in our civil liberties coffin. We refuse to fall in line. We are refuseniks.
