I was recently admitted to West Penn Burn Center with second- and third-degree burns on both of my hands and forearms, my abdomen, knee and back. I underwent surgery a few days later. The care I received from everyone — doctors, nurses, aides, therapists and food service and housekeeping staff was extraordinary. Each took the time to address my every concern, always with a smile and genuine concern. They are truly remarkable people doing a most difficult job and seem to enjoy doing it well.
I’m on my way to recovery now. A little improvement each day. Thanks to all, including home care nurses and therapists. Keep up the wonderful work.
