Letter to the editor: Can't take more of Trump's behavior
How much more of this president’s ridiculous behavior must we put up with? I find his words and lies truly tiring. In my opinion, President Trump degrades himself and demonstrates each day that he is unfit for anything.
As Election Day nears, here are some thoughts of what a Trump vote means: good people on both sides in Charlottesville, hush money to a porn star, support for dictatorships while snubbing allies, stirring the pot of bigotry, posing for photo ops that divide, empty promises of a coal comeback, bad trade deals creating farmer welfare, no new health care plan and disparaging the brave war dead.
I don’t think Trump has any regard for controlling the national debt, even before covid-19. He says we’re rounding the curve of covid-19. Meanwhile, we have nearly 1,000 dead each day with projections of 200,000 dead by the end of September and 400,000 by January.
Authors Mary Trump, John Bolton, Rick Wilson and Bob Woodward expose what I see as Trump’s defects as a leader and as a person. Any direction Joe Biden could take us in the next four years can only be better than this chaos and hatred that Trump seems to thrive on.
My observation, based on the last five years, is that Trump is a heartless, soulless person who appeals to the ugliest side of humanity for his own gratification.
