Letter to the editor: Casey should focus on our problems
Sen. Bob Casey has a political ad talking to steelworkers about how he supported the new infrastructure law which will benefit them. I went to the website and read this law, which has an addendum which states that products made in the USA must be purchased by companies unless they are not available here or cost more than foreign companies. Really, senator?
Then there is his ad about “shrinkonomics.” Where has he been? Companies have been shrinking box/package sizes with less product for the same price for years. Ask anyone who shops.
If Casey is so concerned about Pennsylvania citizens, start with problems with nursing homes closing. The middlemen for pharmacies who are getting rich while our local pharmacies are closing at record numbers. How about ambulance services? Fire companies? You have some important issues.
Sorry, Sen. Casey, you are not getting my vote.
