I would like to inform letter-writer Anne Rindt (“Voting in person can be a challenge for many,” Aug. 30, TribLIVE) and others who are physically challenged and cannot stand for long periods of time in line to vote or use a wheelchair that no one would be deprived of voting if we did not have mail-in ballots. We have had and still have the ability to apply for absentee ballots that can be used if a person has an illness or physical disability as well as if a voter will be absent on Election Day. Call the Election Bureau for the application, or you can go online to apply. Hopefully, this will help those who cannot vote in person.
