Every single person should be able to make their own decisions about their health and their life. Choosing to have an abortion should be no exception. It is clear by now that most Pennsylvanians agree with this, and that it is one of the top issues of the election season.

After the Dobbs decision overturned Roe v. Wade and took away the constitutional right to abortion, state legislatures suddenly gained the most direct control over our reproductive rights. Here in Pennsylvania, abortion is very much legal, and many of us want to keep it that way by continuing to elect pro-choice legislators.

Yet, despite the power they have, state legislative elections are still an afterthought for many voters. State politics can be hard to follow, and individual state representatives and senators rarely make the news.

I created Choicetracker.org to provide voters with a record of exactly where their local legislative candidates stand on abortion, including publicizing statements, endorsements and votes on abortion.

This election, abortion is on the ballot, and you should join me in using Choice Tracker to find where your legislators and candidates stand on abortion. Let’s work to hold our Pennsylvania lawmakers accountable.
