Letter to the editor: Check your facts on Trump
Veteran newscaster Dan Rather characterized Donald Trump as a charlatan and a threat to democracy, saying he rejected a “cheating, lying, racist, treasonous, fascist and vile man”
If you consider yourself a person of faith, how can you condone the 77 times Trump posted on Easter Sunday, each post filled with hate, vengeance and fear? Same at Christmas: “May they rot in hell … Merry Christmas,” he tweeted. Then he makes comments while selling Bibles about the crucifixion of Donald J. Trump, the resurrection, the chosen one sent by God. How long are we going to condone and excuse this behavior?
Meanwhile, it seems he would put his name on anything that might make him money, from Bibles to urine tests. Doesn’t matter if the product is inferior or made in China.
Why does Trump continually praise tyrants around the globe; could it be because he admires them and wants to be like them?
Did you ever notice that the people at his rallies look familiar? Is it because they are the same cult followers that go to every event?
Trump said that he would hire the best of the best. Now basically 95% of those people do not support him and the other 5% are in jail. How can that be? Now just the worst of the worst are supporting him.
Are you part of the cult or are you willing to do a little fact-checking and not believe everything Newsmax spews out? Or are you going to be like Mike Pence and just pray about it until it’s too late?
