Glad to read that Norwin pulled the plug on CNN 10.

I have always enjoyed reading Lori Falce’s columns, except “Yes, your kid should watch the news at school” (Jan. 14, TribLIVE).

I found Peter Busowski’s letter “Teaching kids how to consume news” (Jan. 24, TribLIVE) interesting and especially noted what I, too, have always felt that the facts as presented may not reflect the whole truth. Also, it’s a fact that critical race theory doesn’t exist in our schools; but, like Busowski wrote, this doesn’t mean its underpinnings aren’t being taught. Bravo! Someone gets it!

We as a society are being exposed to detrimental information that is dividing our country to the point that we do not recognize it anymore. Our children should be taught our country’s history in order for them to understand what our ancestors went through to establish our great and unique nation. Read the great books by Ron Chernow on our presidents and what they experienced. I thank all of the teachers who know what true education is all about.

Oh, and by the way, George Will and I only agree on two things — Ron Chernow and baseball.
