Letter to the editor: Christians have no choice but to vote Republican

I was raised as a “blue collar” Democrat. My parents were both children of immigrants. They have both gone to Christ’s kingdom, but if they were alive today, they would both be staunch Republicans, as it would be the only political party they would even still recognize.

The Democratic Party has swung hard to the left, openly endorsing socialism — the misguided “gateway drug” to totalitarianism in all of its evil forms. The draconian rule of some Democratic leaders during the pandemic gives us a glimpse on where they are heading if allowed.

Simply put — if you are pro-life, pro-traditional family, pro-middle class, and pro-personal and religious freedom, then how can you not be pro-Republican in this election? Even more so, if you are a faithful Christian, do you really have any other choice based on the party platforms?

As for President Trump, like him or not, he has fulfilled his campaign promises, been the most unabashedly pro-life president of this generation, kept us from another war, and attempted to serve the best interests of this country and its citizens first and foremost at all times. His accomplishments are admirable in many regards.
