With the number of homeless people increasing yearly, I believe churches should get more involved to provide some relief. This especially holds true during the winter months.

The Diocese of Greensburg could be instrumental in addressing this serious and depressing situation, possibly by providing some cots and warm meals. The diocese has many churches and schools that have closed that could be used, such as the former St. Mary School in Uniontown.

Today the diocese’s own parishioners are some of the homeless. The diocese should do something about it.
