So, Frank Dermody loses the election, retires on a taxpayer-funded retirement of $110,000 a year and is handed a cushy job on the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (“Frank Dermody lost state House election but lands $145,000/year gambling board job,” Jan. 29, TribLIVE). According to the article, Dermody was responsible for appointing two former lawmakers to the gaming board, so another tit-for-tat for our career politicians.

First of all, who in the private sector retires on nearly 90% of their annual income? Secondly, is there no shame to how the Pennsylvania Legislature takes care of its own on our dime?

I don’t care whether you’re a Democrat or a Republican — you should be outraged by the shenanigans of our Harrisburg elite. How much longer are “we the people” going to tolerate the filthy politics that permeates Harrisburg? We need to vote them all out and institute a limit on their terms, salaries, perks and the rampant inbreeding going on in our state capitol. After all, they are supposed to work for us.
