Letter to the editor: C'mon, Comcast, give us something for our money

As a Comcast customer, I think I speak for a whole lot of fed-up people when I say, “C’mon, man.” We’ve been cooped up in our houses for a good while now because of this virus, and all we get for our giant cable bill is reruns over and over.

I don’t know what you’re doing with all that money, but it sure doesn’t seem to be buying any new programming. You often mark the bottom caption with the word “new” when it’s actually something that has already been on. I think Shark Week is the same this year as it was five years ago. If there is something we might actually want to watch, you want us to go to “on demand” and pay more, usually for a movie that was free not long ago. That’s a little ridiculous.

Greed sets in, and you turn a 90-minute movie into two hours or more because there’s a group of commercials every couple minutes.

You know you have the capability to let customers pick the package that we actually want instead of paying for channels we don’t want or need. We should be able to opt for a 10-, 20- or 30-channel package instead of 100 or so that we don’t use.

Sooner or later you just might price yourselves right outta business. So be it. Come on C’mon, man. I’m ready for the scissors.
