Letter to the editor: Cognitive dissonance on guns
Cognitive dissonance is the subject of two letters published June 12 (“Are we OK with child sacrifice?” and “Children suffer when we cater to minority of gun owners”).
In 2021, there were 45,222 deaths by firearms in the USA.
24,292 (53.72%) were suicides.
19,384 (42.86%) were murders.
611 (1.35%) were law enforcement related.
535 (1.18%) were unintentional/ accidental.
400 (0.88%) were undetermined.
Of the 19,384 murders, the unspoken inconvenient truth that everyone turns a blind eye for fear of being labeled racist is that statistically most of the murders were committed by young Black males (ages 14-19) killing other young Black males, in mostly urban Democrat-run cities with strict gun laws (L.A., Phoenix, Chicago, Detroit, New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore, New Orleans).
A national infamnia conveniently ignored by America for years, that is until white juveniles decide to shoot white children in white suburban elementary schools.
Over 60 million children, mostly children of color, were murdered in the USA since 1973 courtesy of Roe v. Wade.
Is the liberal Democratic agenda to disarm every law-abiding citizen other than those who actually commit gun crimes and still have a “final solution” for the nonwhite people of America? Just asking.
