I am writing to express my support for Leslie Uncapher Zellers for district judge. I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with Zellers for almost 30 years. As a practicing attorney, I know how important it is to have a magisterial district judge who is unbiased, impartial and well-versed with the rules of evidence, who is comfortable in the courtroom and has a working knowledge of all aspects of the law. Zellers is that person.
Equally important is having the judicial temperament to treat all who come before the court with fairness, impartiality and respect. Zellers’ decades of experience in serving the public, her clients and the community shows that she believes in the rights of the victim but never forgets the rights of the accused. She has the temperament, the experience and the open mind necessary for the job of a district judge and will ensure that the public is well served.
I encourage everyone in this magisterial judicial district to vote for a change in the office. Zellers is the district judge the community needs.
