Regarding the editorial “Pennsylvania legislators could choose to change pay raises” (Nov. 26, TribLive): Does anyone really expect this to happen? We have the largest full-time state Legislature in the country. They get a 2% cost-of-living adjustment every year. Retired public school teachers in Pennsylvania have not had a COLA since 2004 — coming up on 20 years. There are some members of our Legislature who have been in Harrisburg for 20-plus years. Their salaries have increased more than 40% in that time (2% x 20 years). Retired public school teachers have the same pension they had in 2004.
