Let’s compare the Trump term in office to the Biden-Harris team’s term in office.
Donald Trump failed to solve the migrant crisis at the border, his top campaign issue, even when Republicans controlled Congress. President Biden and Vice President Harris supported a bipartisan solution led by Republican Sen. James Lankford of Oklahoma. It was on track until Trump and MAGA allies killed the legislation to let the problem continue for political talking points.
Trump sleepwalked on his promise to invest in infrastructure, although he did give us a few “infrastructure weeks.” Biden and Harris delivered on infrastructure, with investments in locks and dams, airports, highways, bridges, trains, broadband, etc. throughout our nation. Biden and Harris also secured a huge investment in U.S. semiconductor manufacturing.
Trump says that climate change is a hoax, and he remains oblivious to the challenges presented by it. Biden and Harris tackled the issue head-on with billions of dollars of investments in clean energy, environmental justice initiatives and more.
Trump railed against Obamacare while never proposing a health care alternative. Biden and Harris brought millions of Americans health care coverage, capped the costs of insulin and secured lower drug prices for millions of Medicare recipients.
Trump enacted an inflationary and deficit-inducing tax cut primarily for the rich. Biden and Harris forced big corporations to pay more of their fair share.
