The invasion of Venezuela and threats of the president’s little team of thuglings (Miller, Hegseth, Bondi, Noem) to Colombia, Cuba and Denmark tragically show the world the U.S. as an aggressor. Yes, yes, to Venezuelan democracy, but, fellow citizens, do you want sons and daughters to die in Latin America for oil or corporate profit? To satisfy the power lust of our presidential wannabe dictator? And more.

Taking Greenland from Denmark by force will destroy NATO and with that European and U.S. security. It will grant V. Putin his wildest dream — our abandoning Europe to Russia — and give China its cue to act against Taiwan.

One of our region’s three representatives in D.C., Congressman Chris DeLuzio, had the courage and clear sight to condemn the Venezuelan attack. His status as a veteran speaks volumes about whether our beloved U.S. becomes a repeat aggressor and a colonial power. Do you wish that outcome? Is that our country?

This can be stopped, if the so far spineless Republican members of Congress do their constitutional warmaking duty and enforce the War Powers Resolution, and all of us tell all of Congress to do its job and assert democratic control of this thug administration.
