Letter to the editor: Country has changed

Tribune-Review

The Democrats elected President Trump and they haven’t learned one thing from their blundering performance under President Obama. Instead, have doubled-down on that eight-year folly. Sobering up from their defeat would have taught them that their shrillness in insisting on control, silence, obedience and conformism is not working for them.

Instead, they launched a crazy Russia conspiracy for three years after spending $20 million on 30 prosecutors that ended in their abrupt surrender when Robert Mueller reported to Congress during an exhausting daylong hearing that he could find no Trump transgressions. Then they instantly pivoted to their fiasco of an impeachment trial that even the most oblivious of their voters could see would end in a quick acquittal. Is it possible for even the most seething Trump hater to believe the impeachment story?

Their constant carping about a racist America needing ever-increasing diversity is crimping society. Instead of working alongside co-workers of a different color, we are now made to place this difference right in the front of our cerebral cortex rather than view them for their unique personalities and abilities. Drunk on their own virtue, these newly minted leftists running the Democratic Party desire to remove all other aspects of human interaction.

The tribe you belong to is numero uno to the party. Were I sent back in time to the ninth grade of my lucky adolescence carrying this burden, I would be in constant vigil for the nearest “safe space.” How the country has changed.
