News coverage of the pandemic has been excellent. It has focused the attention on the dangers of covid-19. However, the focus on the rare complications of the vaccines has taken attention from the common, and dangerous, complications of the virus itself — not only to individual health but to the health of our economy.

It would be excellent to see coverage of the news about the rare complications balanced by the facts and implications of not getting the vaccine, so the rare “newsworthy” complications in headlines don’t overshadow the greater good.
