If public charter school choice wasn’t an option, my son would have been left behind.

Prior to his kindergarten year, we moved into a good school district excited about the opportunity to offer him the best. But instead, my son became a “number” and quickly began to dread going to school.

Every child learns at a different pace. Public cyber charter schools offer flexibility, and teachers adjust teaching methods to the student. Our cyber charter school provides variety and opportunity. An average week outside of schoolwork includes participating in extracurricular activities at cyber school offices, as well as a variety of field trip experiences. These help students socialize with other students throughout the Pittsburgh area.

This option provided him the opportunity to grow and then thrive, surrounded by a team that has provided so much one-on-one interaction that he will not need an Individualized Education Program (IEP) by the end of the year. In fact, he was accepted into the gifted program.

As a parent, you know what your child needs, and not everyone can afford a private school. Every child deserves the right to thrive — not just get by. From one parent to another, I recommend considering a cyber charter school.
