Regarding the letter “Conservative talking points don’t ring true” (May 9, TribLive): Famous scientist Carl Sagan once said, and I quote, “You can’t convince a believer of anything; for their belief is not based on evidence, it’s based on a deep seated need to believe.”
Facts don’t seem to matter to a MAGA, conservative, Republican or whatever they call themselves. We’re living in dangerous times.
Also, having the Supreme Six, the best Supreme Court of the United States that money can buy, handy, certainly doesn’t bode well for this country. Vote this November like our democracy depends on it, because it does.
