State Republicans have embraced President Biden’s agenda, claiming it as their own. PA EDGE (House Bill 1059) would establish specific incentives applied to investments that create jobs across an array of Pennsylvania industries including:
• A regional clean hydrogen hub.
• Natural gas-derived fertilizer production.
• Biomedical and semiconductor manufacturing.
These are sound investments to put more Pennsylvanians to work with good-paying jobs. But they are only made possible due to the legislative successes of President Biden and House and Senate Democrats. Republicans overwhelmingly voted against bills that benefit working people but now want credit for the economic benefits.
Biden’s Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act includes more than $65 billion for clean energy and infrastructure upgrades.
Build Back Better includes more than $400 billion in clean energy tax credits and investments in clean technology and manufacturing.
The CHIPS and Science Act made $52 billion investments in semi-conductor technology and manufacturing in the U.S.
Even though we are barely past the 2022 elections, 2024 is just around the corner. Remember it was Democrats that make PA Edge possible.
Democrats are creating good-paying jobs in Pennsylvania. Republicans create wealth for corporations and the 1%, not working people.
