The article “Republican fundraiser sparks criticism from candidate in 39th District state Senate race” (Oct. 7, TribLIVE) seems like nothing more than a cheap political stunt. Democrat Tay Waltenbaugh seems to be using the personal health crisis of a county commissioner to try and get his name in the paper, but what else should we expect from someone who spoke at the Marxist meet-up for Black Lives Matter in Greensburg?

As a conservative, I find it exhausting and frustrating to watch socialist Democrats say one thing and do another, and constantly get away with it. At the fundraiser, the CDC guidelines were followed, and the contact tracers said the event was before the 72 hours of exhibited symptoms, so why was this even a story? It takes but a couple seconds to scan Waltenbaugh’s Facebook page and see him at his own fundraisers without a mask on in groups of people.

I believe this is simply a trick to distract voters from the fact that Democrats have shipped our union jobs overseas through bad trade deals, refused to denounce antifa for attacking police officers and burning down our cities, and will raise the cost of electricity on all Americans by banning fracking and fossil fuels.
