Letter to the editor: Democrats’ hate

I was taken aback by Edward A. Svitek’s letter “Morals, decency & Trump” (Dec. 27, TribLIVE) mentioning my letter “Tired of Democrats’ letters” (Dec 4, TribLIVE). I was raised to not hate anybody, even my critics. I asked the paper to limit the number of letters because we are talking about the office of the president, which should be respected regardless of your opinion. And the remarks are getting boring.

I bet another critic of mine, Oren Speigler, doesn’t hate anybody. I have never detected any venom in his writings.

Svitek should watch his TV more often and he would learn that it is documented in DC that Democrats offered up the idea of impeachment even before Trump was elected. That is pure hate.

I’m proud to admire Trump for what he has acomplished — i.e., more than the last three presidents combined, in my opinion. I certainly don’t agree with his methods, tweets and language. But I give him a break as a businessman running the government, and not the usual mealy-mouthed, apologizing career politician. He does get results. And he is keeping most of his promises.

I even bet Svitek voted for Bill Clinton — and we know his record. Morals, ethics and decency can’t ever be associated with the Clinton name.

I wonder what else Svitek hates? He should get ready to practice a lot of hate because The Donald will be reelected.

Suggestion to Svitek: Rather than appear naive and a hater, keep writing letters and prove it beyond a doubt.
