Working in a steel mill as a union member I was told you had to vote for Democrats because they were the voice of the working man. But over the years I saw the changes in the working man’s party.

The knife that stabbed me in the back was when President Obama passed a law that if the steel mill didn’t have enough money to cover pensions, they could decrease my pension. I realized this would not only help the company, but also the government. If a company goes bankrupt, the government pays the retirees a percentage of their pension; but by Obama passing this law, the government no longer had to do this. (Editor’s note: A provision in President Biden’s 2021 American Rescue Plan Act effectively reversed most of the reductions.)

We have good laws in this country if they are enforced. You can come to this country by legal means. If you come here otherwise, you are breaking our law, which makes you a criminal. Yet the Democratic Party makes sanctuary cities where criminals are protected.

We have laws about drugs, but it seems they are rarely enforced properly. The Democrats tell us if we legalize marijuana, look at the money we can make. We rarely hear about the health side effects. No president has taken on the drug cartels before at the source of the problem. Does it not make sense that if there is not a supply of drugs like fentanyl coming here, then we become drug-free? Yet Democrats condemn Trump for stopping the drug trade. Makes me wonder if they have something to gain from the drug trade. Think about it. Money does talk.
